I really wanted to wear this dress out because I knew that only on New Year's Eve was I ever going to justify dressing up like a disco ball; but given that we were going to a hotel, I knew I was going to freeze if I wore it out without any sort of outerwear. So I decided to grab this sweater last minute and head out the door.
One may think that the resulting look is quite contradictory. The upper half of my outfit might say, "Let's stay home and laze around all day," while the lower half of my body begs to differ. However, to me, it goes together perfectly in a strange way. I think that's what fashion is all about, don't you think? It's all about putting together a look that might not seem like they match at first, but with the right accessories, you can easily pull your look together.

This year, I want to try wearing more outfits like these with more experimental combinations to keep things fun and fresh!
Happy New Year's, everyone!
